Supplies needed before your mouse comes home with you: - Water bottle or a shallow ceramic dish (please be sure this is functioning always- and that it is within the height of a mouse). - Cage appropriate for a mouse, 1-3 females are well suited in a 10 gallon tank. Please check my availability of this size tank, I sell them new for much lower than majority of pet stores!) - Cage screen for your tank, if no screen comes with it. 10 gallon has screens suitable for a 10 gallon tank, etc. - Food designed for a mouse is the only best thing to give them. There are many choices for rodent block available online. I purchase bulk so this is time saving and money saving to me to purchase 50lb bags. However; pet stores do carry food specific for mice. CareFresh Complete for mouse/rat is one of them. - Bedding. NO pine or cedar shaving. These products can cause health problems. CareFRESH makes a recycled paper bedding that is great. I usually mix Timothy Hay (which I freeze for 24 hours before using, to kill any potential parasites living within this hay) and CareFresh as bedding for my mice. Please be sure the hay you purchase is dry and free of mold as well! - Wheel for exercise. Plastic solid wheels with no slots/openings are best, they have no risk of tail damage, or feet getting bent/stuck. All of my cages have a saucer wheel. - Any other tubes or toys can be bought specifically for mice in the stores. But, my mice are more than content with paper towel rolls and other paper products we come across. Including drink carriers from fast food restaurants etc.!! - Lots of Love and Attention Please! Like with any pet, Please do your research before deciding on a pet:)
